WSU partners to serve Army on aerospace projects
m88体育 and the have entered into a partnership to mutually strengthen capabilities in fixed-wing commercial, civil and rotary wing military aircraft research and development in order to more effectively serve the U.S. Army.
The universities recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate on aerospace projects. The arrangement offers aerospace expertise from WSU in the area of fixed-wing commercial and civil aircraft and from UAH in rotary wing military aircraft.
Ins & outs of grant administration: open workshops for faculty, staff
The Office of Research will host multiple workshops for faculty and staff who need help with or have questions about grant administration. Research staff can help with all of your questions including those involving topics such as post-award, expenses, reports, funds, budget, cost-share and effort. Labs will be held throughout July and into August. No need to RSVP or register, just show up with your questions. All labs will be held in 409E Jardine Hall. Banner 9 Scheduling Building Training 鈥� July 24 and 25
New and experienced Banner schedule builders and department chairs are invited to attend the upcoming spring 2020 Schedule Building Training sessions presented by the University Registrar鈥檚 Office and Applications Training on Wednesday, July 24 and Thursday, July 25. Both sections 1 and 2 are required for new schedule builders.
Opportunity to develop new First-Year Seminars coming July 10
After piloting First-Year Seminars (FYS) for three years, the faculty have approved requiring an FYS course for all first-time-in-college students as part of their general education experience starting in fall 2021. This is an exciting opportunity to add another best practice to our other student success strategies on campus.

Registration for Campus Safety: Active Threat Incident Planning is available
Providing a safe and secure environment for the WSU community continues to be a top priority. The Campus Safety: Active Threat Incident Planning course in from 3-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, in 233 RSC, is a live training initiative to enhance WSU鈥檚 proactive approach to ensure a safe campus environment and to prepare our faculty, staff, and students in case of an incident of campus violence.
Campus Safety: Active Threat Incident Planning will focus on two areas: 1) what to do in an active campus threat incident and 2) how to identify and report behaviors of concern.

Ulrich Museum introduces new creative communications manager

Ranjit Arab
Ranjit Arab is the new creative communications manager at the Ulrich Museum of Art.
Prior to joining the museum, he spent 15 years in academic publishing, first as a publicist at University Press of Kansas. For the last decade he was an acquiring editor at three presses 鈥� Kansas, University of Washington Press, University of Iowa Press 鈥� when he acquired mostly in the areas of cultural, literary, and environmental studies.
