Only first year (directly from high school) students

• Freshman students are advised by OneStop Student Services.

Incoming transfer students, irrelevant of the classification, must meet with the ECE Academic Advisor in their first semester.

• Call ECE Main office (316) 978-3259 and schedule an appointment with the ECE Academic Advisor

In your first semester onward, you will have to meet with either your faculty advisor or the ECE Academic Advisor, depending on last name

• Last names beginning with A-L schedule the meeting with their faculty advisor in the fall and the ECE Academic Advisor in the spring.
• Last names beginning with M-Z schedule the meeting with their faculty advisor in the spring and the ECE Academic Advisor in the fall.

Students will meet with Dr. John Watkins (john.watkins@wichita.edu) once after enrolling in ECE 585

• Senior check is the final step towards ensuring students are on track to complete their graduation requirements. 
• Once students complete senior check, they do not have to meet with any faculty advisors, unless they have additional needs 
• You will receive an email from Dr. Watkins through SSC Navigate requesting you to complete senior check 
• Please complete your senior check as early as possible to avoid any surprises.
