Duncan Snook, now a Cybersecurity Analyst at CYDERES, started his journey at Ennovar as a Network Infrastructure Technician. His role gave him hands-on experience in managing and maintaining network infrastructures, both on a physical and software level. That exposure helped him build a strong foundation in cybersecurity, preparing him for his current work analyzing potential threats using SIEM tools and endpoint management systems.
One of Duncan's favorite aspects of Ennovar was "being able to work on and learn about the various systems and see how they interact," he says. He also appreciated the friendly and knowledgable coworkers who were willing to share their expertise. "My coworkers were all very friendly and extremely knowledgable about the work involved. I learned a great deal from the experience."
Outside of cybersecurity, Duncan enjoys mountain biking when he gets the chance.
His advice for current Ennovar students? "Do not be afraid to ask questions or talk to people you are working with. You might just be surprised by what you learn from them."
