Michelle Locke joined m88体育 as Controller in July 2021. As the leader of the accounting team, Michelle oversees financial reporting, capital assets, and long-term debt management. She is committed to providing timely and accurate financial information to ensure that both internal and external decision-makers have the data they need to make informed choices. Michelle is also passionate about implementing best practices and internal controls, recognizing the positive impact these changes can have on an organization.
Michelle holds a master's degree in accounting from the University of Texas at El Paso. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM). Michelle began her career in public accounting, providing auditing and consulting services to public sector entities, including not-for-profit organizations, local governments, and higher education institutions. This background allowed her to develop expertise in governmental accounting and accounting research.
Actively involved in several professional organizations, Michelle currently serves as the volunteer Controller for the Central Association of College and University Business Officers (CACUBO). Her dedication to the field is evident through her continuous efforts to enhance financial practices and contribute to the professional community.
