Udayakumar Ravikumar is a master's student in Business Analytics at Wichita State University, with a background in computer science and a strong interest in data, AI, and innovation. He blends technical skills with a practical mindset to solve problems across business and technology domains. His curiosity about how systems work began early鈥攈e taught himself the basics of the stock market in 7th grade and has been an active investor ever since. This lifelong interest in finance and analytics fuels many of his projects today, including building AI-powered tools for stock analysis and decision-making.
He currently works as a research assistant with Innovation Campus partners, where he transformed complex Excel-based labor scheduling macros into efficient standalone software, improving resource planning. Previously, as a graduate assistant, he streamlined data synchronization between CRM systems and student databases, enhancing workflow efficiency and data accuracy.
Udayakumar also serves as a campus strategist at Perplexity, where he collaborates with peers to grow awareness and adoption of AI-powered search tools through events, feedback loops, and creative outreach. His projects reflect his passion for AI and intelligent systems鈥攈e developed Laura, an AI-powered call assistant using Whisper AI and DeepSeek R1, and built a stock analysis platform powered by large language models to deliver personalized insights for investors in the Indian market.
Currently, he is working on building a startup focused on AI, large language models, and autonomous agents, aiming to bring advanced, real-time intelligence to everyday tools and services.
